The Galia Melon is a cross between a Cantaloupe and a Honeydew Melon, combining the best of both melons into one. The outside looks like a Cantaloupe while the inside looks like a Honeydew Melon.
The flavor is a unique fusion of both with the mild taste of a Honeydew Melon and the sweeter flavor of the Cantaloupe.
Color, fragrance and firm stem end, indicate ripeness. Great fragrance is the hallmark of a good melon. Galia Melons are not picked unless they're mature and have high sugar content. Keep cut fruit in refrigerator for up to three days.
