Description

Ginpo Kikka Banko Donabe Rice Cooker

This rice cooker makes it easy to prepare delicious rice in just 30 minutes. It can cook up to 3 rice cooker cups (3 Gou), which is about 450g of rice. You'll need to use 1.1 to 1.2 times the amount of water as rice.

The double-lid design prevents spills, and you only need to turn off the heat when you see steam to enjoy perfectly cooked rice. This cooker works with both open flames and electric cooktops.

Its stylish design is great for serving guests, as it can be placed directly on the table to keep rice hot. It's also versatile enough for making stews, soups, and other dishes, with ingredients soaking up the broth for extra flavor.

Mr. Hidemasa Yamamoto, a former Executive Chef at The Ritz-Carlton in Washington, D.C., and the Mandarin Oriental in Tokyo, endorses this product, praising its ease of use and the consistently delicious rice it produces.

How to Cook 3 Rice Cooker Cups (3 Gou):

  1. Measure 450g (3 Gou) of rice and 540g of water.
  2. Wash the rice thoroughly with cold water, then drain and place it in the clay pot.
  3. Add 540g of water to the pot and let the rice soak for 20-30 minutes.
  4. Heat the pot over medium to high heat.
  5. When steam starts coming out of the lid hole, turn off the heat.
  6. Let the rice steam for about 20 minutes.

For 1 or 2 Cups of Rice:

  • 150g (1 Gou) of rice = 180g of water
  • 300g (2 Gou) of rice = 360g of water
