Relaxing evening: GABA Tea .

GABA Tea is a rising star in Taiwan's tea scene, originating from Japan and developed by Dr. Tsuji in 1984. In 1994, technicians from Taiwan's Council of Agriculture's Tea Research and Extension Station visited Japan to learn its key techniques. Through anaerobic fermentation, fresh tea leaves produce γ-Aminobutyric acid (GABA), a vital neurotransmitter in the brain that relaxes nerves and regulates stress. Symptoms of discomfort caused by modern-day stress from work and studies can be alleviated by drinking GABA Tea. Moreover, GABA neutralizes the stimulating effects of caffeine in tea leaves, promoting relaxation without affecting sleep. Notably, early GABA Tea developments were not palatable due to the musty sourness resulting from anaerobic processing. However, through numerous improvements and experiments, today's GABA Tea not only offers significant advancements in flavor and texture but also retains the full spectrum of GABA content (with over 150 milligrams of GABA per 100 grams of tea leaves).

Tea Perfume: Pouchong tea

In Pinglin, Taiwain, located in the abundant surroundings of mountains and water in Taipei, Taiwan, boasts the most renowned strip tea variety in northern Taiwan, Pouchong Tea. This tea shares the prestigious title of "Northern Baozhong, Southern Oolong" with southern oolong tea. Our tea is made using locally sourced organic tea leaves from Pinglin, employing traditional Baozhong Tea processing techniques. The tea liquor exhibits the classic honey-green hue of Baozhong Tea, with a hint of yellow due to the heavier fermentation of organic tea leaves. The flavor is characterized by a fresh and elegant floral aroma.

Organic Period vs. Organic Conversion Period: What's the Difference?

In simple terms, every piece of land undergoing organic conversion must pass through a three-year organic conversion period before receiving formal organic certification. During this period, agricultural products produced can be labeled as being in the organic conversion period.

Some may wonder if products from the conversion period are as reassuring as those from the organic period. The answer is: the safety of organic conversion period crops is equivalent to that of organic crops!

According to organic regulations, during the conversion period, cultivation methods must not include the use of pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers. Testing standards are also comparable to those for organic agricultural products, ensuring that no pesticides or toxic substances are detected before products can be sold.

We recommend supporting products from the organic conversion period, encouraging farmers to navigate the organic exploration and adaptation period, and ultimately providing consumers with better quality and stable organic agricultural products in the future.

Which Period is My Ordered Tea From?

The tea gardens of Pure Source Tea Co. produce both "organic period" and "organic conversion period" teas. Each batch of tea leaves may have different period identities depending on the area of tea leaf raw materials.

For example, when you order "Organic (Conversion Period) Premium Fragrant Baozhong Tea" from Pure Source Tea's official website, the product name indicates two different period types. Pure Source Tea ships based on existing inventory. Therefore, upon delivery, you may receive either "Organic Period" or "Organic Conversion Period" Premium Fragrant Pouchong Tea.

If you have specific requirements for the period, please call 02-2665-7110 before placing your order, and our staff will assist you.
