説明

About Suzugami

"Suzugami" is a Japanese tin product that derives its name from the words "Suzu" and "Gami", meaning "Tin" and "Paper", respectively. The product's unique composition results in a thin, pliable texture akin to that of paper. This characteristic is achieved through a traditional Japanese crafting technique that involves repeated hammering and rolling of the tin. As a result of this process, the Suzugami gains the ability to develop intricate patterns, while also exhibiting remarkable durability and resistance to fracture, even after repeated bending.

Variations

Suzugami is a versatile item that can be used in countless ways to suit your needs and preferences. By simply bending the four corners, you can transform it into a perfect serving dish for various foods, such as desserts, salad, pasta, tacos, and more. Additionally, if you shape it into a cylinder, it can function as a decorative vase to hold flowers and greens, infusing life into any room. The smaller sizes can also be utilized as accessory trays, glass coasters, cutlery holders, or chopstick rests by manipulating the corners. Suzugami's flexibility and adaptability make it an indispensable addition to your household.

How to use Suzugami Products

Transform the Suzugami plate to your liking with ease. Its malleable nature allows you to bend, fold, and stretch it in any way you desire. Despite being made of metal, it can be reshaped repeatedly, much like origami.

Style Characteristic

The Suzugami product line consists of three variations, each following a seasonal themes.

- Arare: This design is lined with divots that capture the power of hailstorms that occur during the winter months.
- Samidare: This design captures the endless streaks of rain with sharp lines that create an impression of the falling rain seen in the month of May.
- Kazahana: This design outlines the early winter snow with its soft patterns, which is most commonly characterized by a sunny and windy day after a snowfall.
