About Dong He Oil Factory
Dong He Oil Factory was formerly known as Towa Oil Co., Ltd., which was established in the fourth year of Taisho era (1915) during the Japanese colonization era. It was registered in 1933 as the tax registration. It is currently the only remaining 100-year-old oil factory in Taiwan that has been witnessed by history. In the early days of Liberation, it was located in Puzi, Chiayi, which was rich in the production of peanuts and sesame. The cold-pressed virgin peanut oil and sesame oil produced by Donghe Oil Factory were the most famous oil mills in the 1950s and 1960s. The products are well-known in the Central South Taiwan market. Convinced that the cold-pressed virgin process is the only guarantee for good oil, Donghe Oil Factory still makes cold press oil by hand.
