N700S debut! Commemorative collaboration monaka

  This "Shinkansen Monaka" is a collaboration product between Omikami Tamaya (head office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo), a Japanese confectionery shop established in 1912 and known for its strawberry bean daifuku, and Tokyo Station Development Co., Ltd. (JR Central Group), which is responsible for business development in Tokyo Station Ichibangai and under the elevated Tokaido Shinkansen tracks in Tokyo. On

July 1, 2020, the new N700S train will debut on the Tokaido Shinkansen. On Wednesday, August 5, a specialty store zone called "Tokyo Gift Palette" will open at the Yaesu North Exit of Tokyo Station. Omikami Tamaya will also have a store here.

To commemorate this, the "Shinkansen Monaka" was born.

The Shinkansen is a dream super express train that is immensely popular with people of all ages, from children to the elderly. The N700S train is depicted as realistically as possible, and the bean paste filling comes in three flavors: "Dainagon An," made by carefully simmering Kyoto Tanba Dainagon beans without breaking the grains; "Smooth An," made with red beans from Tokachi, Hokkaido; and "Strawberry An," made with white bean paste made from adzuki beans from Furano, Hokkaido, and plenty of domestic strawberries.

The packaging, which mimics the interior of a train, features illustrations of famous places and sights from around the country from the train window, inviting you to feel like you're traveling on the Shinkansen while eating the monaka. Please enjoy these original Shinkansen monaka that can only be found at Osumi Tamaya.
