Lai Chao-xian, the owner of Hongji Bee Ecological Farm, has been involved in beekeeping since childhood, following in his father's footsteps. He deeply understands the importance of bees. Since pesticides can cause mass bee deaths and environmental pollution, all honey purchased by Hongji must undergo pesticide and antibiotic testing. Lai's dedication to bees is widely recognized. He was named one of the Top Ten Outstanding Professional Farmers in Taiwan Province in 1992, and his honey has won awards continuously since 1991. The Beekeeping Association has even honored him with the title "Honey Appraiser."

To help more people understand bees and related ecology, Lai decided to take an educational approach and open his farm to visitors. He constantly hosts groups of visitors, educating them about bees and the production process, spreading the seeds of bee protection. Lai firmly believes that "the honor and standard of a beekeeper are not measured by quantity but by quality and vitality." He manages his farm with joy and a spirit of sharing, facing consumers with honesty and mutual assistance.

Tips for Consuming Honey
Hongji honey is concentrated at low temperatures, resulting in a rich, aromatic flavor. When preparing, it is recommended to use cold or warm water below 60-70°C to maintain enzyme activity and vitamins. Honey may crystallize at temperatures below 14°C; therefore, it does not need refrigeration after opening. If crystallization occurs, placing the jar in 60°C water will gradually dissolve the crystals. As honey is a fresh food, it is not recommended for children under one year old. If consuming foods containing gypsum, raw crustaceans, or raw oysters, it is advised to wait at least two hours before consuming honey.
